BOOKINGS & CONTRACTS

Do you do Pencil Bookings? We no longer offer pencil bookings, as we have found these result in significant business losses. We can do is place a note for 30days with your name against your requested dates. If another party enquires about the same dates, we’ll do our best to contact you first. However, please note this is not a guarantee. The only way to secure a booking is by paying the nominated deposit.
When is my booking confirmed? When we receive the deposit and you have signed our Ts & Cs. We try to accommodate all enquiries, but ultimately the first to pay, secures the booking.
Is there a bond? Yes, which is normally refunded 7-10 days after your hire.
If there is damage, mess or callouts during your hire, the bond may not be refunded and additional charges may be incurred. Please see our Ts & Cs on the Theatre page.
Will there be other bookings? Yes, but we will let you know. We ensure that sound crossover is kept to a minimum. For note our foyer is a shared space.
TICKETING & ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Do you do ticketing for shows? Not normally, but we can for a fee. We suggest iTicket or Humantix
Do you provide Ushers? Not at this time. Neither do we provide Bar staff or Managers
Can I sell Alcohol? Yes, but you will need to apply for a special licence through our bookings co-ordinator at least 6 weeks prior to the event.
Do you have eftpos Yes, for an extra charge of $10.00 per day. It does not do credit cards or pay wave. Once the fee is reconciled, accounts will deposit the money in your bank account
BUILDING INFO & HEALTH AND SAFETY
Is there carparking? Yes. 24 and 3 disabled beside the theatre and more options in the local streets that provide ample spots approx 2 mins away.
Is the Rose Centre office always open? Office hours are weekdays, 8:30am – 4pm
What do I have to do for H&S? 6 weeks prior to your event we will send you an online health & Safety questionaire to complete. During your hire you will need to nominate your fire warden and a H&S person.
Do I have to do an onsite Induction? Yes. 1 week prior to your event we will cover the following in approx 20mins:

An overview of The Rose Centre, its basic workings and Health & Safety

You will be given a key, and any applicable alarm codes.

We will advise criteria for bond refund, regarding cleaning, loss or damage.

If applicable – a basic tech room (see more below)
Do you have storage? Unfortunately we do not have space for your things unless that is covered in your contract. Please enquire with the bookings coordinator.
Do you look after lost property? No. Please do a careful check before you pack out and take all items left by your guests.
THEATRE TECH ROOM HIRE
Do I have to Hire the Tech Room? Use of the Tech Room is not covered under a Theatre booking. Please request this at the time of your booking for $30.00 per day. Our house lights are included.
What tech is included in the Room The Theatre Tech Room includes, lighting grid (for advanced lighting options), sound board (audio desk) and access to projector and wireless microphone controls.
Do you show us how to use the Tech room? Our Tech room briefing is included in the induction. Your technician is expected to have prior knowledge of how sound & lighting equipment operates. They must sign a separate H&S form and equipment closedown forms.
Tech Room Training We can make an appointment for additional training at a cost is $60+ per hour if we have enough of a notice period.
Can you provide a Technician? The Rose Centre Staff can recommend a list of Technicians that are familiar with our facility. Please ask as early as possible.
