Marketing & Content Co-ordinator:
Help tell the story of The Rose Centre🌹
Are you the person who always has your phone ready to capture the perfect photo, spots a great social trend before everyone else, and gets excited about turning an idea into a great poster or Instagram post?
The Rose Centre is looking for a creative, hands-on Marketing Coordinator to help tell the story of our busy community arts and events centre in Belmont.
From theatre shows and community events to preschool activities, workshops and everything in between, there is always something happening at The Rose Centre. We need someone who can turn those everyday moments into engaging content that makes people stop scrolling, get involved and feel connected to their local community.
About the role
This is a varied role where no two weeks are quite the same.
You'll be the creative force behind our social media, digital marketing and promotional content — helping make sure our programmes, events and activities are seen, shared and celebrated.
You'll work closely with our team to bring upcoming events and programmes to life through great content, while also looking for opportunities to grow our audience and strengthen our community presence.
What you'll be doing
-
Creating fun, engaging content for Facebook, Instagram and TikTok
-
Capturing photos and videos at events and turning them into content people want to see
-
Designing eye-catching posters, promotional graphics and digital assets
-
Keeping our website fresh, accurate and up to date
-
Helping create our monthly What's On newsletter
-
Planning content around upcoming events and programmes — not just posting reactively
-
Joining relevant community social groups to help spread the word about Rose Centre activities
-
Responding to comments, messages and community interactions
-
Keeping an eye on trends, engagement and what's working
-
Tracking social media performance and using insights to improve our content
-
Building and maintaining an organised library of Rose Centre photos and content
About you
We're looking for someone who is creative, organised, curious and community-minded.
You'll ideally have:
-
Experience managing Facebook, Instagram and TikTok for a business or organisation
-
Strong graphic design skills and confidence using Canva or similar
-
Great writing and storytelling skills
-
Photography and video skills, with confidence capturing content at live events
-
An understanding of social media trends, algorithms and digital marketing
-
Website management experience, ideally Wix
-
Excellent attention to detail and an eye for what looks good
-
The ability to work independently, manage deadlines and juggle different projects
-
A genuine interest in connecting people with their local community
-
Experience in community, arts or not-for-profit organisations is an advantage.
Why The Rose Centre?
Because this isn't just about likes, followers and pretty pictures - It's about people.
The Rose Centre is a place where arts, education and community come together. Your work will help local people discover what's happening on their doorstep, support community groups and performers, showcase the wonderful things happening here, and encourage more people to walk through our doors. Our values are Community, Creativity, Belonging and Inclusion — and we'd love someone who genuinely connects with these values.
The practical stuff
This is a part-time role of 7 hours per week, with flexibility to work remotely but you'll need to be onsite at The Rose Centre at least once a fortnight, as well as available to attend occasional events to capture photos and video for our social media and marketing.
If you're creative, love social media, enjoy meeting people and want your work to make a difference in your local community, we'd love to hear from you!
