Cook smart - eat well
Simple, affordable food for everyday life
Join us for a FREE hands-on cooking workshop designed to help you create simple, nutritious, and affordable meals for everyday life.

Led by qualified nutritionist Maria-Louise Bernard (GradDip Human Nutrition, Massey University), this practical session combines easy cooking techniques with helpful nutrition tips. Maria-Louise has worked with organisations including the Heart Foundation, Nutrition Foundation, and Diabetes Foundation, supporting communities to build confidence in the kitchen and make healthier food choices.

During the workshop, participants will prepare a simple, healthy dish while learning useful nutrition basics such as balanced meals, portion sizes, and how to make smarter food choices on a budget. You'll also take home recipes and resources to keep the inspiration going.

A welcoming, practical session for anyone wanting to cook well, eat well, and feel more confident in the kitchen.
