Auckland Mandolinata Orchestra — 2026 Spring Concert

Spend your Sunday afternoon with the Auckland Mandolinata Orchestra as they bring the unique sound of a plucked-string orchestra to the Rose Centre.

​

Formed in 1969, Auckland Mandolinata is Auckland’s only mandolin orchestra, with around 20–30 musicians performing on mandolin, mandola, mandocello, Liuto Cantabile, classical guitar, bass, flute and accordion.

For their 2026 Spring Concert, the orchestra will perform a selection of modern, folk and classical favourites, including new pieces and old favourites arranged especially for their distinctive ensemble sound.

It's a chance to hear something a little different, enjoy some live music and support a local orchestra that has been bringing its music to audiences for more than 50 years.
