When she’s murdered, he becomes the prime suspect and must go on the run to clear his name. Directed by Anthony Whitehouse and adapted comedically for the stage by Patrick Barlow, The 39 Steps is based on filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock’s classic 1935 spy thriller & the John Buchan novel that came before it.
