"Brassed Off" looks back in anger to 1994 when the Tories were enthusiastically shutting down coal-mines all over Britain in the belief that coal mining was no longer economically viable. "Brassed Off" celebrates a mining community's determination to keep its brass band blowing amidst a climate of redundancies, poverty and hardship. The play is funny, sad and thought-provoking. Danny the bandleader dying of lung-disease declares it is music that gives the Grimley people significance whilst Sandra his daughter-in-law takes off to her mother's when her husband Phil puts a new trombone before food on the table. So, should the band play on?

ALLSTARS SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAMME

NYTC presents "ALLSTARS" School Holiday Programme

A  theatrical training programme for Ages 5 to 16

Dates: Tuesday thru Saturday 5 to 9 October

Times: Tue - Fri 9am - 4pm, Sat 1pm - 8pm

Fees: $199 per student

This popular  course is the perfect school holiday activity for theatre enthusiasts or beginners who want to have a go on the stage!

The course culminates in two performances of a special revue show for family and friends

Students will work with their tutors in acting, vocal/singing and dance classes held in age related small groups to ensure that everyone receives quality tuition and has fun! We have a high staff to student ratio and a registered nurse on sit at all time.
