The Rose Theatre is a fully equipped, intimate theatre in Belmont, North Shore city five minutes from Takapuna or Devonport. We have a beautiful glass-roofed foyer that leads to our modern, fully air-conditioned Theatre with comfortable fixed raked seating for 110 patrons that can be increased to 120 patrons with the addition of a temporary front row. The raked seating means that every seat in our Theatre has an uninterrupted view of the performance area.

The Rose Theatre has a fully sprung Rimu stage suitable for full-on theatrical performances (a false floor is available at no extra cost), dance performances, musical recitals, and all kinds of concerts or seminars.

The Rose Theatre has wonderful acoustics and a professional but easy to use sound system that provides high quality sound at up to 200 watts per channel.

There are two separate lighting systems in The Rose Theatre. As part of your hirage of our Theatre you have access access to our easy-to-operate show lights. These are 9 1200w fresnels and one adjustable spotlight. For larger productions there is a full lighting grid of 45 points connected through an easily accessible patch board to 4 x 12-channel digital dimmer packs. If you are using this full lighting grid you will need to rig your own lights.

Inside the Foyer of The Rose Theatre is a fully equipped kitchen and outside a wide deck leads to a private courtyard. If you require additional foyer or function space we have two Lounges for hire connected directly with the foyer in either an open-plan or separate area layout.
